ANGELS International is a women-owned U.S.-registered non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by a group of highly skilled and mission-driven Afghan professionals with over 15 years of experience across government, humanitarian, and development sectors in Afghanistan. Having worked extensively with U.S. government institutions and international partners, the founders were compelled to leave their homeland and resettle in the United States due to the rapidly changing political environment. Despite displacement, their dedication to service grew stronger. While rebuilding their lives in the U.S., they observed significant gaps in social, educational, and professional opportunities within Afghan and broader immigrant communities. These challenges inspired the creation of ANGELS International a platform to empower, uplift, and connect people through compassion, practical action, and inclusive leadership. Established in Tennessee, ANGELS International is committed to advancing humanity, health, and hope, bridging communities, and creating opportunities for those most in need. Rooted in the founders’ lived experiences and professional expertise, the organization implements programs in community empowerment, healthcare access, education, women’s leadership, and refugee integration, with a special focus on amplifying the voices of women in leadership and decision-making. Guided by the core belief “From Afghanistan to the World – Humanity First” ANGELS International represents resilience, unity, and service beyond borders. As a women-owned organization, it stands as a bridge between cultures and nations, transforming the challenges of displacement into a global mission for inclusion, dignity, and sustainable human development.
